Gujarat: Ceramic tiles to get costlier as production cost increases

 

Faced with increased cost of production, tile makers in Morbi, India’s largest cluster of ceramic industry, Morbi have decided to raise the prices of their products by about 10-15%, The new prices will come into effect from September 1, according to ceramic industry players.

The tilemakers in Morbi have decided to raise prices to pass on the increased production cost, which has gone up by around 15% due to increase in prices of natural gas, raw materials, coal as well as a surge in transportation cost following spiralling diesel prices, said industry players.
Gujarat Gas Limited (GGL) hiked the price of natural gas supplied to ceramic and sanitaryware units in Morbi and Surendranagar. For 3-month minimum guaranteed offtake (MGO), GGL increased the rate by Rs 4.37 per SCM (excluding taxes).

G20 Conference on Women Empowerment

 

The 1st ever G20 Ministerial Conference on Women’s Empowerment was held at Santa Margherita Ligure, Italy. It was held in combined format i.e human beings participated in physical structure and with the aid of video conference also.

MANTHAN Hackathon by BPR&D and AICTE

 

Bureau of Police Research & Development and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) will be launching MANTHAN 2021 on twenty sixth August 2021 at National Media Centre.

Hackathon “MANTHAN 2021” is a unique country wide initiative (36-hour online hackathon with Prize cash really worth Rs. 40 Lakh and with two phases) to become aware of revolutionary principles and science options for addressing the safety challenges of the twenty first century confronted by our talent agencies.

During this hackathon, chosen youths from schooling institutions across the country and registered start-ups will participate to provide strong, secure and high-quality technology solutions using their technical expertise and progressive skills.

 

Renovated Complex of Jallianwala Bagh Smarak

 

PM Narendra Modi has dedicated to the state the renovated complex of Jallianwala Bagh Smarak in Punjab’s Amritsar, to mark 102 years of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.

 

 

The historical garden is a memorial of countrywide importance, preserved in the memory of infinite revolutionaries, sacrificers, fighters, who had been killed in the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, which befell on the pageant of Baisakhi on 13 April 1919. Tokenization for Mobiles, Laptops and Wearables

The permission for tokenization extends to a number channels [e.g., Near Field Communication (NFC) / Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST) primarily based contactless transactions, in-app payments, QR code-based payments, etc.] or token storage mechanisms (cloud, impenetrable element, trusted execution environment, etc. The ultimate duty for the card tokenization offerings rendered rests with the licensed card networks.

Y-Break App launched by AYUSH Ministry

 

It was launched by Union AYUSH minister, Sarbananda Sonowal.

 

On the occasion, several bouquets of activities and campaigns was launched by Ministry of Ayush to commemorate Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.

 

Apart from Y-Break App, a year-long campaigns like cultivation of medicinal plants in farmland, distribution of medicinal plants to households and sensitisation of School & College going students on Ayush systems were launched.

 

This week-long activities & campaigns will start from August 30 to September 5.

 

These activities will be launched with the aim of reaching to remote areas in India and address all categories of our population viz., children, old people, farmers and corporate.

Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav is a series of events being organised to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of India’s Independence. Events are being organised by government of India and it will be celebrated as a Jan-Utsav in the spirit of Jan-Bhagidari.
